We’re not just here to give aid, we’re here to change the story.
Ayela Charity Foundation (ACF) is a nonprofit organization based in the Isheri community, on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria. That works to break the cycles of poverty, digital illiteracy, and missed opportunities that keep vulnerable communities from thriving.
We focus where the gap is widest: children in orphanages, underserved communities, and individuals who are too often invisible to opportunity.
Our approach is simple:
Equip children with skills, not just supplies.
Connect with partners who believe in measurable impact.
Act where others delay.
Since launching, we’ve reached over 200 children and young adults, provided thousands of meals, and trained tens in computer literacy raising over ₦15 million through community-driven support. But we’re just getting started.

About The Founder
In 2018, I visited an orphanage with friends and family. What began as a simple act of giving soon became a monthly habit. At first, it was just about bringing food and supplies, but as I got to know the children and young people better, everything changed.
One moment stays with me forever: I met someone in their late 20s who had lived in the home for years. When I asked why they weren’t working or learning a skill, they said something that broke my heart ;
"It’s not that we don’t want to learn, it’s that no one stays long enough for us to actually learn anything."
People would come with good intentions, offer a month of training, hand out certificates, then leave. They taught coding without laptops, tailoring without sewing machines; no follow-up, no tools, no hope.
That was my turning point. I realized I couldn’t keep showing up with food but leave their potential untouched. That’s how the Digital Literacy for Orphans program began, practical, intentional, and built to last.
Through Ayela Charity Foundation, I’ve worked with 15 orphanages in Lagos and Ogun states, supporting over 200 children, many of whom are homeschooled because they can’t afford school fees. In 2024, we hosted Nigeria’s first inclusive Children’s Day celebration, bringing together over 150 children from Muslim, Christian, and special needs orphanage homes. That same year, we launched a pilot digital training program for orphaned youth and the results proved that when you show up with consistency and tools, you change lives.
To keep building on this momentum, I also launched Alake Africa; a social enterprise that uses fashion and merchandise to fund skills training and create jobs for young people, especially orphans and women. Through bulk custom orders and our upcoming clothing collection, every purchase supports real programs that empower, not just provide charity.
My mission is simple: whether it’s tech training, inclusive festivals, or platforms for women and youth to dream bigger, I want to create pathways to dignity, independence, and joy.
Because pity changes nothing. But partnership does.

What We Do Differently
Many talk about change, we measure it.
